Tommy here. I'm the guy who sent you the info on Easter's mansion for American Gods. I hope all is well. The Originals was set in New Orleans, but the series barely filmed there. Conyers and Covington are only The Originals Season 1 premiered right after The Vampire Diaries Season 5 started in , so the casts were likely filming nearby around the same time every year. The show built its own version of the neighborhood, which is what you see throughout the five seasons.
But the cast and crew did pop over to New Orleans for some shoot days. In fact, the show wrapped in the city. Joseph Morgan told Us Weekly in what it was like the last day on set. Or is that on set? I would love to take my daughter and do the tour. We are coming from Sydney Australia. There is only one real cemetery scene, the one with the bird during the day. The rest are soundstage.
